My Everest Base Camp 3 Peaks 3 Passes Trek

Back in September of 2021, I decided to visit Nepal around December to trek along the 3 Peaks and 3 Passes trek within the Everest region. However my plan did not go in effect until February of this year. Between mid November to like around end of March, the mountains are really cold. I had booked my trip through Makalu Adventure and overall it was a great trip. I had completed the entire trek in 35 days.

I had to take a week extra here and there due to lot of headache. I had also intended to climb a 6000m peak but due to constant headaches, I decided against this. Maybe next time. I feel the headaches were not due to AMS but due to other reasons as I had never experienced this type of pain on my previous treks or expeditions even when camping at 5850m (Mera Peak high camp). Here I am sharing a number of photos which I took on the trip but not in any specific order.

This was shot at Everest view point which is like a 2 hour trek from Namche Bazaar.

Posing for photos at the Everest View Point. This is like a 2 to 3 hour trek from Namche Bazaar. Once here, the views of Everest and other gigantic peaks are amazing.

Tengboche Monastery located in Tengboche Village is at an altitude of 3,867 metres above sea level.

This site is just before the village of Lobuche. This is a memorial site for those climbers who have died at Everest.

This is the Italian weather station which is a 25 to 30 minute walk from village of Lobuche.

This was taken on the trek up to Kala Pathar. The view shows the village of Gorakshep which is located at an altitude of 5,164 metres.

Neema Sherpa, one of the guys supporting during this trek at the top of Kongma La at an elevation of 5535m. This was a very hard and long day due to the amount of ice and snow on the ascent. The ascent took approx. 5 hours from Lobuche village and then a further 5 hours down to the village of Chukung.

This is Renjo La Pass (5360m) which was my final pass crossing. This is usually an easy pass to cross but due to the amount of snow, ascending up the pass was a bit of a challenge.

On the approach to Kongma La.

Blocks of ice along the Khumbu glacier. Climbers have to traverse across this to successful summit Everest.

On the approach to Cho La. This was one of the easiest passes to cross.

On arriving at the top of the Cho La, the weather turned cold and windy.
